Fencer IQ was born from a simple frustration: as a fencing parent, there was no single tool that connected what the coach sees in the salle, what happens at home, and how the athlete truly feels about their own development. So we built one.

The Origin
Fencer IQ was created by a fencing parent and technology entrepreneur from Frisco, Texas — someone who spends weekends at tournaments, weekday evenings at the club, and every car ride home wondering: how do I actually help my kid improve?
After years of watching talented young fencers plateau without clear direction — and watching parents, coaches, and athletes all hold different pieces of the puzzle — it became clear that the sport needed something new. Not another video tool. Not another bout tracker. A way to see the complete picture.
With a background in technology and a deep personal stake in fencing development, the idea for Fencer IQ came to life — combining an IT professional's ability to build scalable platforms with a fencing parent's intimate understanding of what families, coaches, and athletes actually need.

Fencer IQ is the first fencing development platform that captures insights from three perspectives — athlete, coach, and parent — across six critical dimensions, and uses AI to synthesize them into a personalized growth plan.
Every assessment question was written by people who understand competitive fencing. The scenarios are real. The scoring dimensions reflect what actually matters for athlete development.
